A classic thriller comes to the historic Hyde Park Opera House in November. Wait Until Dark opens, appropriately enough, on FRIDAY THE 13TH, and runs November 13-15 and 20-22.

Wait Until Dark was written by Frederick Knott and was a Broadway hit in the 1960s.  It was made into a popular movie in 1967, starring Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin.  It follows the story of a recently blinded woman who is conned and terrorized by a trio of thugs while they search for smuggled drugs that they believe is in her apartment.  With the help of her spunky young neighbor, she attempts to outwit the conmen.  When things turn dangerous, Susy defends herself by trying to use the darkness to her advantage.

A masterfully constructed thriller, Wait Until Dark moves from one moment of suspense to another, as it builds toward a spine-chilling final scene.
