Character Descriptions:
Gomez (Male, Tenor, 40s-50s) - Spanish accent preferred, but not mandatory. Romantic and devoted husband and father.
Morticia (Female, Mezzo, 40s-50s) - Coldly calm and suspicious matriarch. She almost never smiles.
Uncle Fester (Male, Operatic Tenor, 25+) - Iconically bald character; either shaved head or bald cap/wig. Eccentric and romantic, a loving and beloved family member. Often narrates, breaking the fourth wall.
Grandma (Female, Alto, 25+) - Eccentric purveyor of herbs and potions, a loving and beloved family member.
Wednesday (Female, Mezzo with Heavy Rock Belt, Stage Age 18-19) - Headstrong, naive, in love with Lucas.
Pugsley (Male, Unchanged voice or Tenor, 10-12 or Stage Age 12-14) -
Bratty, mischievous little brother.
Lurch (Male, Bass, 40s-70s) - Tall, zombie-like butler. Moves vey slowly and doesn’t smile. Speaks in grunts and monosylables until his important solo in the finale.
Mal Beineke (Mal, Baritone, 40s-50s) - Father of Lucas. Nerdy, uptight, and dysfunctional.
Alice Beineke (Female, Mezzo with Belt, 40s-50s) - Mother of Lucas. Romantic, repressed, nerdy, and dysfunctional. Speaks in rhyme when she’s feeling anxious.
Lucas Beineke (Male, Tenor, stage age 19-20) - A “normal” young man, but nerdy in his own way. Overly practical, in love with Wednesday.
The Addams Ancestors (All Genders, Voice Parts, and ages 10+) -
All ancestors in the ensemble will sing and dance! Opportunities for brief solos and featured dancing will be available.
