The Children’s Theater Workshop provides an opportunity for children ages 10 - 15 to participate in a theatrical production specifically geared to their age group. It is a two week, ten-day workshop concluding with three full performances! The workshop is designed to introduce children to theater, cultivate individual talents, and afford those with varied experience the opportunity for growth and personal challenge.

The CTW will take place in Hyde Park at the historic Hyde Park Opera House, from 9am-3pm each day (Monday thru Friday). The cost of the two week camp is $200. Full and partial scholarships are available by request to those with a need. If you are in need of a scholarship, email info@lcplayers.com.

For the 2024 workshop, we are offering three Junior Director positions open to high school students aged 16 and up.  The Junior Directors will help with various production and coaching duties and will be assigned ensemble roles if they wish to appear onstage. The cost for Junior Directors is $100.  Those interested in Junior Director positions must apply by writing to info@LCPlayers.com.  Briefly explain your theatrical experience, and why you are interested in the workshop.  Approved Junior Directors will be given a coupon code for the registration site.

Please note that while no previous theater experience is necessary, LCP requires that the child have an interest in being involved in the workshop. CTW will create a safe and supportive environment for children to try something new; we only ask that they come willing to try!

Each child should bring their own bag lunch, snacks, and beverage for each day. Children should wear comfortable clothes that allow them to sit or lie down on the floor and move freely for dance. Sneakers are needed! Everything should be able to get dirty. Backpacks, lunchboxes, and jackets should be marked with the child’s name.
