Dear Lamoille County Players’ Patrons, Partners, Casts, and Crew
In response to the Covid-19 outbreak, the Lamoille County Players (LCP) at the Hyde Park Opera House are working to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved in our organization.
Following the school closures, all of LCP’s rehearsals and meetings will be suspended until April 6, 2020, or until schools return to session. All essential meetings are being held online, so as to avoid close contact and adhere to social distancing procedures as much as possible. In regards to group gatherings, such as auditions and show performances, LCP will follow CDC and state guidelines. At this time, LCP has no changes to audition or performance dates. We will keep you informed via our website, facebook page, and email newsletter should any of this change.
Ticket sales will be suspended for all LCP shows until such time as we return to rehearsals.
Registration for the Childrens' Theater Workshop will be put on hold for now. We will be monitoring the situation as it progresses and let you know when we are able to open registration.
We thank you all for your continued patronage and look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Lamoille County Players Board of Directors

The wealthy and well-established Lord family of Philadelphia is about to welcome the cream of society into their home for the second wedding of Tracy Lord, vibrant daughter of the house -- much to the annoyance of little sister Dinah, big brother Sandy, and ex-husband C.K. Dexter Haven. Unfortunately, father Seth’s philandering causes a scandal which an unscrupulous media tycoon threatens to break -- unless he can send a reporter to cover this high society wedding from the inside. Enter Macaulay “Mike” Connor, who holds strong views against the old money-wielding upper class, and his faithful photographer Liz, whose romantic connection is not enough to stop the fascinated dance which ensues when Tracy and Mike meet. Torn between three men, Tracy must determine whether or not she belongs on a pedestal. The Philadelphia Story is a witty, sophisticated romp, a breezy and romantic story which explores family dynamics, class prejudice, and human frailty.
